12/20/2023 0 Comments Onstage school of dance![]() ![]() Butler has directed musicals ranging from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to The Mikado. As a Board Member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing she has served as an adjudicator for various vocal competitions and chaired the NATS yearly Musical Theatre Festival. From 2005-2009 Lucille was on the faculty of the South Shore Charter Public School in Norwell, MA where she developed a vocal and drama program for students from 5th to 12th grades. She is the Musical and Vocal Director at the On Stage. For the past thirteen years she has been teaching voice at The James Library Center for the Arts in Norwell, MA. Lucille Butler has sung leading roles in operas and musicals in Boston and California for many years, including both Anna (Merry Widow) and Rosalinda (Fledermaus) for Janus Opera. Their students have gained acceptances to prestigious audition based summer theatre programs as well as top BFA Musical Theatre Colleges in the country. They take part in conventions to always be exposed to the latest in choreography, technique, and trends. On Stage students are asked to perform at professional and local events. Their connections to professionals in NYC help facilitate the very best opportunities. They have brought Broadway professionals to their studio to teach Master Classes as well as bringing their students to Broadway. One of Brooke and Corey's favorite aspects of owning the studio is bringing the very best opportunities to their students. Their students have won regionally and nationally in all areas of dance, voice, and acting. Eventually, they transformed their theatre program into a full service, award-winning school of performing arts. Since that time, they produced musicals such as Annie, Willy Wonka, The Wizard of Oz, Seussical, Dear Edwina, Madeline's Christmas, The Nutcracker, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, High School Musical, High School Musical 2, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, and more.
